Summer Brings Vintage Carriage Rides to Lewiston Village

Lewiston is set to welcome a charming new feature this summer – a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride. This marks the debut of a regular carriage ride service in the Village.

The initiative, led by the Historical Association and Lewiston Museum, is designed to enhance the village's charm and celebrate its rich heritage. The ride includes a 20-minute stop at the Museum, located at Plain and Niagara Streets.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, the beautifully restored nine passenger antique carriage, led by a pair of horses, will traverse the south Village. The inaugural ride is slated for Saturday, June 8, at noon, with passengers boarding at Deal Realty, 451 Center Street.

The schedule comprises four rides at noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm on non-festival Saturdays throughout the summer. The rides, subject to weather conditions, are planned for June 8, June 22, June 29, July 6, July 13, July 27, August 3, and August 19.
