*  More than any other state in the Union, New York was the holder of the most Civil War POW camps, including the controversial Elmira camp?
*  The supplies that the state was able to produce and manufacture were incredible? That this effort included military arms, ammunition from our various armories and factories, to the steel foundries which produced armor and technology for ironclads? 
*  The recruitment of soldiers for the Union Army was just under a half a million men for the war effort?
*  New York State also fell victim to conspirators, riots, sabotage, and rebellion; and would you would be surprised to know that NY had its own small share of those who supported the Confederacy and who actually served the South?

Join local historian Steve Teeft, Director of the only Civil War Museum in NY, to learn more interesting facts and stories about the part New York State played in our American Civil War.
